Winter Fuel Payment Scams

I know it's too sunny/ too hot out there to be discussing winter matters really, however, we are receiving an increasingly high number of reports from residents who have been contacted, often via a text message, by someone claiming to be gathering information to enable them to receive a Winter Fuel Payment. 

There is no need for you to provide any information, the payment is automatic, and the DWP know if you are eligible or not based on their records.

Please, please, please remain vigilant about any post, calls, texts, messages that you receive. Stop! Think Fraud.
